RETRACING OUR STEPS
OUR JOURNEY TO ENLIGHTENMENT
This month, we received a lot of great feedback on the Glorious Heavenly Hope series, especially the article, Contemplations, Anticipations and Hopes. It opened the hearts and minds of many who had never contemplated what heaven might be like, or who viewed heaven as a mystical place where everyone floats around on clouds. Many of our brothers and sisters among Jehovah’s Witnesses were finally able to accept the witness of the spirit now that they could envision their hope and truly ‘keep their minds fixed on the things above.’
We were especially surprised at the reaction to those articles in the recovery missions. They began their own contemplations about what heaven might be like which served to ignite the spirit within and moved many to undergo water baptism as a confession and consecration of their faith. Several of the men in those missions wrote us with their experiences on how the message of sonship changed their lives and we published an article summarizing the effects.
This month, we sent a new batch of postcards to more Kingdom Halls around the world which increased the interest in our site among Jehovah’s Witnesses. In preparation for that interest, we published in depth articles about the freedom of sons, being born of spirit, and what it means to worship with spirit and truth. We also published another article contemplating the heavenly career, and we concluded the month with an article showing how faith, the size of a mustard seed, can produce stalwart spiritual people.
We continued to send open letters to the Governing Body letting them know what we are doing and encouraging them to correct their two-hope teaching.
It was also during this month that a Spanish speaking brother suggested we use Google Translate on our site so that those who do not speak English can benefit from the information. This move truly opened our ministry in a way we had not anticipated. Click here.
